Saturday Morning Manna
Good morning or afternoon, depending on where/when you are reading this. This past week flew by for me. I returned from a quick trip to Texas for my grandmother’s funeral. It was a mixed bag of emotions for me. We had a big family slumber party at her house. Nigerians love to eat, dance, and talk, so we did a lot of that! It was sad but really nice to be with my family and spend time with friends. Even in death, my grandmother did what she was best at: giving love and bringing everyone together.
Once I got back to Paris, I tried to catch up with work and Fall travel plans. Elaine Rudnicki is so right about “giving yourself a carrot” to beat la rentrée blues. Having Fall travel plans to look forward to changes everything! I have a lot to look forward to!
And in personal news my book, Where’s Karl, is officially a New York Times best seller! I am still in utter shock!! This is really a dream come true! I bet our illustrator Michelle Baron is floating on cloud nine thinking about her art work spreading around the world!
Have a lovely Saturday. Here are a few links and ideas for the weekend.
