Saturday Morning Manna
These past few weeks I’ve had one foot on the road in the US for my book tour and the other foot in Paris with MANNA. I can’t really complain about being busy because mostly I feel excitement. Then I think back to my life four years ago when I arrived in Paris with no friends and no projects. It seems that living in Paris really inspired me and these projects. Even the grey days!
It’s my hope that MANNA will continue to grow and inspire women living in Paris—a gift from Paris to those living in Paris. If you see something online that could inspire or be a gift to other expats living in Paris hashtag #MannaParis or #MannaFromParis on your Instagram or Twitter account.
Have a lovely weekend and enjoy these links I came across this week, and some ideas for things to do this weekend.
Bisous xx, Ajiri

A fun article by a friend who finally gave up expat life in Paris to return to New York.
France is the baby-making champion of Europe?
Test time: let’s see if you have cracked the French language.
Would you stay at a hotel floating on the Seine?
Good to know about this if you live here, I guess.
As a big Harry Potter fan, this was exciting news for me!
This is hilarious and number 5 is my favorite!
After reading this article you will never again tell someone who is grieving that “everything happens for a reason”.
THIS WEEKEND:
If you are a Chicago expat especially, check out the Chicago Eyes exhibition at Les Douches La Galerie.
A good way to learn about products from your new/current country? Check out the Made in France expo at Porte de Versaille.
Or take it easy and chill out to music at the Festival Jazzycolors (feel like there is a jazz festival every weekend don’t you?) or step it up a bit with brunch and electro music this Sunday at Le Point Ephémère.

Really Loved the article ” Everything does not happen for a reason” After enduring many losses in my life, I hate to hear those words. I remember being a very young woman and experienced a very tragic loss. A well meaning person told me ” In the future you will know why this happened” Many decades have passed and I still do not know the reason. It is because there is no reason. Many well meaning” religious” people like to shoot out simple ” feel good quotes”
Excited for you and your book tours! You are an inspiration!
