Hump Day Inspiration
Many years ago, I wrote the below words by Madame Runbeck into my quote book. (Many of my Hump Day Inspirations will come from this little book I keep.) This quote showed up in front of me on a day I needed to hear it. (Not literally but flipped a magazine open and there it was.) I have a tendency to always think things will get better when___________. I have honestly done this since I was 12 years old. I thought things would get better when I grow up and graduate high school. I thought things would get better when I finish college and run away to New York City. I was sure things would get better when I moved to beautiful Paris for inspiration and love. When I got here I thought things would get better when I find my niche and improve my French. And now sometimes I think things will get better when my toddler gets older and I have more time. It seems I’m always waiting for the moment things get better, easier, happier and to get off at the right station in life. This means I am always waiting and never living. So enjoy this quote and stop waiting to get off the train at the right station and enjoy the ride my friends!
Sometimes I blame the media for these ideas. If you use this shampoo you will have wonderful hair. If you live in this neighborhood you will have good kids. The list goes on. I agree living in the moment is the best. Although it is sometimes difficult because of the many distractions of life, getting back on track and smelling the roses is a good thing.
I just love the quotes ! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you and I couldn’t agree more. The media has a heavy hand in making us feel that we can never be satisfied with what we have and where we are in life.
