First Look: Hatch Underpinnings
When I was pregnant with my daughter and even post-birth, I couldn’t stand underwire bras. (I suppose they are good for support and fighting gravity, but damn they be uncomfortable.) Half the time, my maternity bras of choice were ratty old sports bras that had been washed so many times the cotton felt like butter. Deliciously comfortable and incredibly unsexy.
For all you fellow underwire haters, Hatch, the chic maternity-and-beyond line designed by the clever Ariane Goldman, has launched Hatch Underpinnings. It’s a simple 3-piece collection consisting of a jersey bra with satin piping, a perfectly draped lightweight cotton nightgown, and a cotton brief. They manage to master the support-with-style element so many other brands (and my sports bras) lack.
I’m not pregnant again—yet—but I am ordering it all.
