Earl Grey Infused Gin Tea Cocktail
For my daughter’s tea party, I thought the adults might like a spiked tea. This cocktail is surprising refreshing and is lovely served in tea cups with a few petals floating around.
Ingredients
for one cocktail
2 oz Earl Grey infused gin (recipe below)
1 teaspoon simple syrup
1/2 oz lemon juice
top with sparkling water
serve on ice
Infused gin
Ingredients
Loose leaf earl grey tea*
Gin
Method
Use 2 tablespoons of loose leaf earl grey tea for every 8 ounces of gin. Pour the gin and the loose leaf tea into a large carafe or bottle. Cover and let the container sit at room temperature for a minimum of 2 hours. Using a fine mesh strainer, filter the gin into another container and you can make drinks right away or store in the bar.
A little Manna From Paris…
– We used Kusmi Tea Earl Grey déthéiné aux agrumes (Decaffeinated citrus Earl Grey)
– For simple syrup search wherever liquor is sold for pur sirop de canne or sucre de canne liquide.
