Take It Easy! Order Take Out in Paris!
Something I miss about life in New York City (that I’ll complain about to anyone who’ll listen) is the ease and variety of ordering takeout. There’s just something about being able to go online and order whatever you’re craving, whatever the hour.
In Paris, there aren’t many options if you want to sit on your butt and have your food brought to your door. You can always pick it up (emporter), but that takes away from the pleasure and convenience of it all.
So I was beyond excited when I learned about Take Eat Easy. It feels like a cross between Seamless Web in NYC and Uber. You can download the app here or go on the website, choose your food, pay via credit card, and bam! Watch on the GPS as a bike courier delivers your hot food. The restaurants aren’t limited to your quartier plus you’re shown potential delivery times. One restaurant might take thirty minutes while another takes forty-seven—major deciding factor when you (and your family) are starving.
Take Eat Easy is a maman’s dream come true for last minute dinner guests or when you’re just too damn tired to make dinner. My latest TEE addictions: Ben and Mam’s deliciously moist whole roasted chicken, Jules and Shim’s beef bulgogi, the entire Le Petit Cambodge menu and booze delivery from Great Wine Italy.
