Easter Egg Hunts in Paris
Easter Sunday is right around the corner. Some of you might be headed to the house of the Lord, others to the holy salon of chocolate at Le Syndicat du Chocolat, or praying you can find a brunch reservation, or that your big family lunch goes according to plan. Whatever you have planned for this weekend, one thing is for sure: kids want to go on a chasses aux oeufs and stuff their faces with chocolate eggs.
Last year we had a wonderful time running around the Ferme de Gally petting farm animals and filling our baskets up with colorful eggs. We are considering the other options for Easter Sunday and rounded up a list of places in Paris and the surrounding area to take little ones for an Easter egg hunt. However, let’s all do the rain dance and hope for good weather.
Les Fermes de Gally
If you have never been to these two farms next to Versailles Easter is a great occasion to check them out. In addition to open fields to search for eggs in exchange for chocolate, there are open activity workshops, pony rides, animals for the children to pet, and demonstrations like wooly sheeps getting a much needed shave. There are two farms so be sure to visit the website and decide which one has activities best for your family, or visit both!

They get to run through Andre Le Nôtre’s beautiful gardens in search of luxury Belgian chocolate eggs from Léonidas. The hunt and artistic performances runs three days so if you are really into the hunt you can squeeze a trip to Vaux along with another hunt a different day.
