My Book Birthday: Where’s Karl?
I’m so excited!! September 15th is finally here. It’s the birthday-well the official launch-of Where’s Karl? the book that I have been working on for about a year and a half with Stacey Caldwell and Michelle Baron.
You remember Where’s Waldo? or Where’s Wally? (Où est Charlie for our French friends) that book we all loved to spend hours flipping through as kids? It was so fun to find Waldo and his friends hidden in medieval battles, beaches, and forests.
Stacey and I work in fashion and like many people we are fascinated with the legendary Karl Lagerfeld, who wears so many hats as creative director, illustrator, and photographer for three different brands and special projects. He is so busy and has the most amazing travel schedule. When people spot him they get so excited and tell everyone they know and on social media that they saw Karl! They really saw Karl!!
It is like we are all playing this real-life Where’s Waldo! So Stacey and I thought forget Waldo! It’s all about Where’s Karl?!! And how much fun would that be if while you are looking for Mr. Lagerfeld in all the fashionable cities, you bump into various celebrities and fashion industry folks.
Where’s Karl? is perfect for the kids and also fashion lovers. The kids might not be as interested in finding some of the fashion people but there are a few treats for them in every scene. Of course they will love finding Karl and his cat but they can also search for my daughter Noomi who is hidden on every page, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, Barbie, Madeleine, and various other cartoon characters.
Our book has been selling like crazy in pre-sales so get your copy before they are gone! You can buy copies online or in various stores in Paris listed below. Just send me a message if you need other suggestions of where to buy your copy! Enjoy!!
